MANNAM Culture _ Howl’s moving castle

I choose a ‘Howl’s moving castle’ as a today’s topic. Why? Because I like the character ‘Howl’ very much. Just kidding. Don’t look at me like that. While I looking for the music CDs, I found the Howl’s Moving Castle CD and I decided to write about this movie. (I really like the OSTs and characters of this movie! I love Miyazaki Hayao :D)

All movies of Miyazaki Hayao have anti-war message. Howl’s moving castle is one of them. The story is about the girl ‘Sophie’ and the royal magician ‘Howl’. People may regard this movie as a simple love story but if we see deeply, we can find some messages of Miyazaki Hayao.

Every night, Howl goes somewhere and come back distressed and exhausted. Europe is worn out by the continuous war. Howl fights every night to stop the war. However, the war doesn’t seem to end. Every day he fights, but only the scar and sadness are left to him. Sophie tries to help him and finally heals him. Howl is the representative of war in this movie and Sophie is the representative of love, peace and healing. We can get to this conclusion. The pain and the scar of war can be cured by love and peace. You may think that it is too abstract, but it is the right answer. The earth is full of war weather it is big or small. Hates, fights, envy, jealousy are all around the world, all around us. How can we defeat those bad things of human? Some people say that these things are fundamental things of human so we have to think that it is natural thing and accept it. Nonsense. Ridiculous. People who say like that are haughty. Who in the world can accept it? Who in the world can love the hates, fights, envy, and jealousy? I’m sure that those people must not experience the scar. Only the people who are hurt can say about the real scar. People are born to be loved and to love. If not, if people are born to be hated and to hate others, why people are exist? Why people have to maintain their painful life? No need to say about that.
 

Everyone has a right to live. Everyone has a right to live peacefully. Everyone has a right to being human. Everyone has a fundamental dignity.

Don’t give up making peaceful world. Don’t give up chasing beautiful life full of love.

I am sometimes about to cry because many people (including my family and my friends) suffered from countless reasons. I hope that one day all people come together and dream together. I really hope.

 
I mentioned that some people may think that it is just a dream. But I found that the realistic way to achieve the world peace. MANNAM. I believe that one day people all together and dream together in the name of MANNAM. MANNAM is not just an organization. It is the hope of mankind. Don’t look MANNAM as a dreamer. Who doesn’t dream can never fulfill the dream. I will dream with MANNAM.
